Copper alloy bell. Cast spherical one-piece bell with a pair of blowholes in its upper hemisphere and a pair of sounding holes linked by the one remaining edge of a sounding slot on the lower hemisphere. An apical loop of uncertain form has been lost. Both hemispheres bear moulded radial petal decoration originating at its upper and lower ends, and a strongly defined circumferential rib divides the hemispheres. Lead alloy toy. Solid cast semi-flat toy farm animal, representing a large quadruped, probably a horse, naturalistically modelled at a scale of c.1:40, though now lacking its legs and head. Extensive traces of black paint remain. The semi-flat form of toy figures was characteristic of Continental, particularly German, manufacture before the First World War.
