Small cubic lead weight or die. It measures c8mm square [8.3 x 8.1 x 7.9mm] and weighs 5.17g. It does not appear to have any markings, but it is covered in grey/white patination, and it is possible that there may be some present underneath. This could be of any date from Roman to post-medieval, but it came from a site where other early medieval artefacts have been found, so could possibly be a Viking weight and may be 9th century in date.
