A ceramic body sherd of a Colour Coated Ware Vessel of Roman date (AD150-300). The sherd is composed of a section concave section from a portion of the body and rim of a vessel. The sherd is composed of a hard fine, buff coloured fabric with no evident inclusions. The sherd has a dark grey/black matt, slip retained on both surfaces. The exterior surface is otherwise undecorated but has a circumferential striation from the wheel turning process.

A sherd of a ceramic Vessel of Roman date (AD 43-200). The sherd is probable of Gaulish Samian ware. This example is probably from vessel of Dragendorff 18-31, a bowl or dish. The rim sherd has a small projecting rolled lip. The fabric is a buff orange in colour with a glossy orange-red slip on the inner and outer surfaces.

A group of two sherds of Roman date (AD 43-410). The sherds are greyware pottery one being a rim sherd and the other a base sherd. The fabric is fine textured and pale grey throughout. It has infrequent fine quartz/mica, and occasional flint inclusions. The lip sherd has an everted lip and the base retains a section of body projecting at approx. 70 degrees from the base.

Two of the sherds are rim sherds, the third is large and slightly concave and possibly a body sherd from a large storage vessel. The two smaller sherds fabric is dark grey and are hard and fine with no visible inclusions and slightly everted lips. The large body sherd is a coarser hard fabric with frequent calcite inclusions. The sherds are dark grey colour indicating a heavily reducing kiln atmosphere.

A ceramic base sherd from a Roman Samian ware Vessel of Roman date (AD 120-260). The sherd consists of a partially retained circular foot ring with the remains of the floor of the vessel projecting at a shallow angle from the top of the foot ring and terminating in old breaks around the entire circumference and along two sections of the base. The fabric is a buff orange colour and is fully oxidised. It is hard and exhibits frequent micaceous inclusions. The vessel has been coated in a dark orange/brown slip which has been heavily abraded in places.
