An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a zoomorphic brooch dating to the late Roman period, c. 350-450 AD. It originally would have been broadly rectangular in plan with a straight strap-bar. Only a small fragment of the outer frame survives. It takes the form of a pair of dolphin-like animal. Originally there were probably two dolphins facing each other and conjoined at the mouth. Just prior to the snout of a small circular pit within a circle presumably the eye. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c. AD 1250 - 1400. The frame is a single looed oval with a narrowed and offset strap bar and an expanded outer edge. A sheet plate is wrapped around the bar with a slot for the pin, though no pin remains. The metal has a light green encrusted patina and is worn. The buckle is 48.2mm long, 24.1mm wide, 7.4mm thick and weighs 16.9g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.21 -22 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1400.

Medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle plate with rouletted decoration on one face. One iron rivet remains in one corner with a hole at the opposing corner where a rivet has been. One face is polished and decorated with rouletting in a St Andrews cross shape with further rouletting on the outer edges of the longer sides. Fragment of medieval copper alloy buckle frame comprising part of one side. There are the remains of three deep rabbets in the edge and on its front face two transverse grooves, both retaining part of two lengths of copper alloy wire. Very similar to an example from London in a context of c.1270 - c.1350 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 443) and a fragment residual in a post-medieval context in Norwich (Margeson 1993, no.154). Extant length 22mm.

A copper-alloy post-medieval D shaped double looped buckle, dating to c1550-1650. The frame has six moulded knops on both outer edges of the frame, set in groups of two. The inside edge of the frame and the pin bar is bevelled, the pin bar is sub triangular in cross section. There is a knop at either end of the pin bar, which has traces of iron staining. The pin is now missing. The buckle has a dark green patina, and measures 39.2mm in length, 35.6mm in width and weighs 10.22g. Similar buckles can be seen in Whitehead 1996, 63.

The frame is decorated with ridges along the top and bottom edge while the bar remains undecorated. Fragment from a copper-alloy double-looped trapezoidal buckle of post-medieval date (c. 1620 - 1680 AD), missing pin. Approximately half of the buckle frame has broken off, leaving two short spurs as the relict of the second loop.
