Probably a Post Medieval copper alloy weight. The object is circular in plan and one face is concave. Possibly an imitation of an official trade weight. The marks usually found on such weights are missing from this example and this also makes it difficult to assign a period of manufacture. Probably dates to between c1500 and c1800 AD, but could well be earlier. The diameter is 36mm and the weight 23.92g.

Post Medieval copper alloy key probably for a barrel tap. There is a projecting tag near the wards which would be unusual for a barrel tap key so the possibility exists that it may have had some other function, for example, winding a clockwork mechanism. It has an oval bow. The terminal at the end of the shank has a small lengthways rectangular flange on either side and short projecting tab at the end that is curved back at an angle to the shank. Post Medieval copper alloy buckle. It is an asymmetric double loop in plan with lobed nops at either end of the strap bar. The tongue is absent. It shares similarities with Whitehead's No.304 but is squarer in form. Dates to between c1500 to c1650 AD. The length is 36mm, width 32mm, and the weight 8.62g.

Post Medieval copper alloy two piece button, sometimes known as tombac or dandy buttons. It is flat and circular in plan with a soldered shank on the back. The outer face is decorated with a finely incised feathered border. The back has the remnants of a central loop for thread. There is some damage to the edge of the button. The button has a remnant coating, probably some form of white metal. It probably dates from between c1675 and c1800 AD. The diameter is 27mm and the weight is 4.52g. The outer face is decorated with a machined pattern consisting of an outer stylised flower around a central stylised star, sunburst or flower. The back has a central loop for thread. The button has a remnant white metal coating, possibly a silver wash. It probably dates from between c1675 and c1800 AD. The diameter is 28mm and the weight is 4.11g. Post-medieval lead or lead alloy toy whirligig or buzz disc. The toy consists of a flat disc of sheet lead alloy, or lead, with a serrated edge though this is now almost completely lost. The whirligig has two adjacent sub oval string holes near the centre. A similar whirligig is been recorded in Forsythe and Egan (2005), page 390, No 13.8. Dates to between c1600 and c1900 AD. The length is 47mm, width is 41mm and the weight 33.07g.

Roman to Post Medieval bell shaped lead-alloy or lead suspended weight. At the apex of the 'bell' are the remnants of the trapped iron suspension loop. Hard to date with any precision but it probably dates to between c43 and c1750 AD. The height is 39mm, diameter is 26mm and the weight is 104.52g. Post Medieval to Modern lead alloy palm guard or needle pad. It is more or less circular in plan. Objects like this would have been wrapped in cloth then strapped to the hand to protect the palm when tightening cord or using awls and punches in an industry such as leather working or sail making. Palm guards of this design are thought to have been cast on occasion in oyster shells. Dates to between c1600 and c1970 AD. The diameter is 40mm and the weight is 94.85g.

Probably a Roman copper alloy key. It has a round bow which is now cracked through in one place. The shank is circular in section and terminates in a simple 'L' shaped ward. Some of the ward & shank has been lost. Its overall appearance is typical of medieval key but the wards are at right angles to the loop which is more a typically Roman characteristic. Probably dates to between c43 and c410 AD. The length is 39mm, width 16mm, thickness 15mm, and the weight 5.67g.
