A poorly-cast copper-alloy strip of unknown but probable Roman date. The strip has an uneven reverse, raised edges on the front with a central rib and two deep circular indentations. No rivet holes or sings of an attachment. This may be part of a vessel or alternatively a poorly cast early Roman strip bracelet.

A complete cast copper-alloy Roman sword scabbard chape, dating to the mid first century AD. The chape is broadly V-shaped with a sub-rectangular section, tapering towards the globular knop at the terminal. On one face the chape has an open V-shaped aperture where it is missing the inner copper alloy skin of the scabbard; the reverse side retains this. Towards the base of the chape is a squared collar apparently a separate element. This collar is decorated with continual transverse grooves / ribs. An incomplete sheet copper-alloy Roman heart-shaped strap end (Simpson, 1976, 201-2) dating to the late Roman period c. AD 350-410. The has two plates which both of which take the form of an inverted heart, flaring into a bifurcated terminal. Above this is a neck which widens into a trapezoidal upper section into which the strap would have been inserted and secured by the retained copper alloy rivet which passes through both plates.
