Cast copper alloy Medieval to early Post-Medieval circular buckle frame with slightly narrowed central bar and missing pin. Frame is roughly semi-circular in cross-section, and bar is sub-trapezoidal. There is no decoration, but there are substantial filing marks as evidence of post-casting fettling. The buckle has a grey patina. A close parallel can be seen at PUBLIC-26C7AF. Circa 1350-1650 AD.

A complete Medieval silver long cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272), minted by Renaud at London. Class 5g, 1258-1265 (North 1994: 227, ref: 997).
Obverse: [hENR]ICVS REX III; Crowned bust facing with sceptre.
Reverse: REN/[AVD]/ONL/VND (EN ON ND ligated); Voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 18.0mm. Weight: 1.23g. DA=12:8.

Obverse: EDWR ANGL' DNS hYB (reversed bars to Ns); Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown.
Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LOn/DOn; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
