Clipped gold quarter-noble of Edward III, fourth coinage, pre-treaty period, 1351-61 AD. Mint unknown. Obverse: royal shield in tressure, +EDWARD:DEI:GRA:REX:ANGL (words seperated by two crosses). Reverse: floriated cross within tressure, quatrefoils and lions in angles with cross at centre, +EXALTABITUR:IN:GLORIA (words separated by two crosses). Mint mark of cross.
