A venetian soldino issued under Doge Michiel Sten, the 63rd Doge of Venice, between AD 1400-1413. Doge Sten was praised for his vitam celibem, or celibate lifestyle, after his death. The coin may have been clipped, as much of the beaded border appears to be missing. Obverse:- Standing figure of the Doge in full state dress, facing left and holding a stave. six pointed star in right field with mint initial 'D' beneath. Legend around '+MICHAE[L STEN DUX]' Reverse:- Lion of St Mark, enhaloed, to left, with large feathered wings behind. Legend around' [S] MAR[CUS VENETI].

A button topper of almost hemispherical curvature. The outer convex surface is marked with an incised rectilinear/geometric pattern resembling a seven pointed star of rough radial symmetry, with 'webbing' between the limbs. The concave inner surface is corroded and slightly greened, indicating a copper alloy is present.

A penny of Edward II (class 11a2 or 11b1, unknown mint) dating to roughly AD 1311-1314. Edward is commonly known as Edward of Caernarfon due to his being born in the large castle that is attached to the town. The coin is very worn and most detail has been obliterated, except for the cross and pellets of the reverse. Obverse:- (for type) Stylised head of Edward II, legend around '[+E]WAR[ANGLDNShYB]' Reverse:- A cross reaching from the centre to the edge, quartering entire flan, with three pellets in each quarter. Legend around '[C]IVI/[TA]S/[...]'.

A Roman denarius, probably a base silver contemporary copy, of the regent Julia Mamaea, mother of the child emperor Severus Alexander (AD 221-35) (Reece Period 11), last of the Severan dynasty. Julia would have a very strong influence over her son's reign up until his murder by his own troops on campaign in the March of AD 235. Prototype Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 98, cf. no. 343. The coin is broken and exhibits pitting across both surfaces.
