A complete copper alloy stud dating from the 16th to the 18th century, possibly a furniture mount. The head of the stud is domed, and has moulded decoration. The decoration radiates out from the centre and is foliate in design. There are five oval shaped petals, surrounded by a curved border, in between each of these is a raised straight line. In the centre of the head is a raised globular projection in the shape of a flower with five rounded petals, and a circular centre. The underneath of the head is concave and hollow. A fragment of an early medieval copper alloy strap end, dating to 8th-9th Century AD, Class A type 2. The strap end has a zoomorphic terminal, which is formed of two semi circular grooves representing the ears. Below this is a rounded incised geometric design, possibly forming the eyes of the creature. The terminal is rounded to form the shape of the snout. Above the face of the creature there is a symetrical geometric insised design, with two triangular shapes surrounded by curved decorated cells. A post medieval copper alloy cufflink dating to c.17th century. The cufflink is discoidal shaped, with the rim curved back towards the reverse. On the front of the cufflink is raised decoration depicting two crowned twin hearts, enclosed in a circle (Lewis, Type A). On the reverse there is a semi circular hoop with part of the attachment wire looped round. (Lewis, Form 1). The cufflink has a dark green patina, with patches of dark red brown. It measures 16.6mm in diameter, 3.9mm in thickness and weighs 1.19g. Similar cufflinks can be seen in Lewis 2013, page 5.
