Early-Medieval (late 8th and 10th centuries) copper-alloy strap end: in plan the strap end is an elongated triangle with a broken terminal, not a recent break and is cast as one piece on this fragment. The tip of the strap end is rounded. The upper face is decorated which is divided into two portions. Roman copper-alloy 'vulvate' or 'coffee bean' mount dating to circa AD 150 - 300. The mount comprises a damaged plate with worn edges, presumably this would have been a hexagonal plate as seen on parallels noted below. Protruding from the centre is a raised oval boss decorated with a linear groove. At the reverse of the mount are two circular-section lugs both of which are incomplete and the body of the mount is hollow. The mount has an abraded light green matte surface. A medieval silver penny of Stephen (1135-1154) in the name of Henry (of Anjou?), of a previously unrecorded type; uncertain mint and moneyer. Ref: Allen et al 2018, no 146 (this coin). The obverse of the coin shows a facing bust of Stephen Type 2 (North 878), dating c.AD1145-50) but with an inscription reading Henry. The reverse of the coin shows a cross fleury in a quatrefoil. The coin is broken in two pieces, roughly in half, and is crumpled and damaged around the edges.

The foot is trapezoidal in section, tapering into a slightly rounded rear and with three longitudinal raised ribs running down the front, flaring slightly towards the base. The whistle is in the form of a pipe bowl which is sub-conical with a hollow interior and a short circular projecting stem. The opening of the bowl is broken and worn, as is the stem. A virtually complete cast lead-alloy ampulla of Spencer's type II dating to the Medieval or early Post-Medieval period, c. 1350-1530. It is bag shaped, demonstrating a flaring neck and broadly circular lower body, with side suspension lugs projecting on either side at the midpoint of the object (one of which is broken in old damage). The bell has a conical triangular shape with a wide base and sides which taper to a pointed apex from which the remains of an attachment loop project.
