Medieval (12th to 15th centuries) spindle whorl: A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl which is cylindrical with a central sub-circular perforation which is 7.87mm diameter. The upper surface of the spindle whorl is decorated with a high-relief square frame with four high-relief pellets, on in each corner. The surface is oxidised and is a cream colour.
It measures 22.91mm diameter and is 10.66mm thick. It weighs 29.59g.
