A complete cast copper alloy Roman plate brooch dating to the mid-first century AD. The brooch is broadly Roman lamp shaped (Mackreth 2010:177), with a rounded pelta-shaped body with extending arm that has a bifid terminal. There are three knops spread equidistantly around the main body of the brooch. The brooch is decorated with diminishing concentric circles in the centre and two linear incisions across the 'neck' of the brooch. The front retains some of the white metal coating. A worn, incomplete copper-alloy early-medieval (mid-late Anglo-Saxon) ansate brooch of Weech type XI dating to the 9th-10th centuries. It is missing its pin but is otherwise complete. A very small, incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman knee brooch dating to the second century AD. The brooch has a small head-loop in the centre of the boxed spring arms. The spring is intact but the pin is missing. The bow of the brooch has six enamel cells although no enamel survives. The brooch is twisted at the foot. See Hattatt 2007:335 no. 1223.

An incomplete cast copper alloy penannular brooch of late Roman or early Anglo-Saxon date (AD 400-600) of Fowler's Type D and Booth's type D2. The brooch is formed from a circular-sectioned rod which has been flattened at the terminals, which have then been bent back over themselves. The terminals have moulded decoration consisting of ribbing either side of an indent or recess in the bar. The appearance is vaguely zoomorphic. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman T-shaped brooch, dating to c. AD 75-200. The brooch is missing the foot but is otherwise complete, retaining the tubular arms for the hinged pin, which is intact. A raised ovoid moulding on the head of the bow may depict a face-mask. Below this the remainder of the bow is decorated with a row of lozenge shaped cells running the full length, with triangular cells at each side and a plain grooved border - no enamel survives. Part of the catch plate survives but the lower section of it, and the foot of the brooch, is broken and missing.

A complete cast copper-alloy Roman trumpet style brooch, dating from the mid-2nd century AD. The brooch has the characteristic trumpet style head with intact head-loop. There are two small circular mouldings (rivets?) on either side of teh head. The bow of the brooch displays a large circular boss with central projection, that protrudes from the edges of the bow. The boss has radial knops. The bevelled lower bow terminates in a peltate foot. The pin is incomplete and of a different alloy and may be a replacement. As Hattatt nos 970 and 87. An incomplete copper alloy and enamel Roman zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a horse. The horse is well rendered with facial features and mane clear. The body of the horse has three recessed cells which have traces of blue and red enamel (red in the centre cell). There is some damage to the horse's feet and to the catch-plate and sprung pin, but otherwise the brooch is in very good condition. As Hattatt 1182. c. AD 100-200.

The brooch has a moulded ribbed bow and wings and an incised horizontal line across the foot and lower section of the bow. A small incomplete cast copper-alloy and white-metal coated Roman Crossbow brooch, dating to the third century AD. The head features a projecting rounded knop with a convex top and a short collared neck. The wings are D-shaped in cross-section and both feature a circular knop as a terminal. The wings house the axis bar for the hinged pin mechanism but the pin is missing. The bow is steeply arched and has a faceted trapeziodal cross-section. At the end of the bow is a thin, fan shaped projection. The lower half of the brooch is missing. See Hattatt 2007 p.368 fig.227 no.1674.
