An incomplete cast copper-alloy composite strap end dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The strap-end consists of two sub-rectangular plates riveted together along with an internal forked spacer by means of a single circular-sectioned rivet at its lower edge It is missing one of its plates and the upper edge of its second plate, though otherwise is preserved relatively intact. Projecting from the base of the forked spacer is a prominent oval knop demonstrating a single transverse ridge on its upper surface.
