Medieval (15th century) spur arms: A cast copper alloy spur fragment with a break which is not recent. The other terminal forms an obliquely angled '8' shape with perforations with a collar between it and the arm. The arm is a D-shape in section. The surface is corroded and abraded with traces of a mid green patina. It measures 35.47mm long, 15.46mm across the loops and weighs 4.28g. The Museum of London Catalogue illustrates similar examples with the '8' shaped terminals and describes these as coming from commonly rowel-spurs rather than prick spurs. These '8' shaped terminals…
