A complete Medieval copper-alloy seal matrix (c. 1300-c. 1400). This seal is hexagonal in form with a hexagonally faceted conical handle that tapers towards the integral suspension loop. The suspension loop is lozengiform with a quatrefoil aperture. Below the loop there is a prominent moulded collar. The hexagonal die has a central motif within an inner beaded circle depicting a squirrel with a long bushy tail. The circle is surrounded by a legend that reads: *I' CRAKE NOTIS ('I crack nuts'). An incomplete copper-alloy double-looped buckle of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1720); one of the loops has been lost. The buckle originally would have been sub-rectangular in plan with rounded corners and the frame is D-shaped in section. The central bar is slight and integral; the pin has been lost and there is no visible pin rest. The width of the frame varies, becoming wider at the end of the loop and at the termination of the central bar; the loop is an irregular heart shape. Cast lines run perpendicular to the frame on the end of the loop and where the central bar terminates…
