An incomplete Roman copper-alloy bow brooch of uncertain type, possibly a lion (Léontomorphe) type (c. AD 50-100). The pin, part of wings, the lower part of the bow and the catch-plate are missing. The head is ''fan'-shaped in plan and the top forms abraded wings which may have been in the form of an open cylinder. The head narrows to the bow which has almost parallel sides. The front of the bow has two transverse ridges, one above the other and there may have been another below where a break has occurred. The rear face of the bow is flat and plain. Obverse: Facing, radiate, Wodan head with chevron beard and possibly a cross pommée either side. Line border with beaded border.

A white metal [lead/tin alloy] discoidal flat fronted button with a slightly concave back and a downwards canted edge with a lateral rim, measuring 18.1mm in diameter and 2.4mm thick. It has engraved decoration consisting of a central 10mm diameter 5-petalled Tudor rose with a pellet in each petal, superimposed on a cross-hatched 5 pointed star.
On the reverse is an integral central domed boss which has small stubs from the embedded copper alloy attachment loop, most of which has broken away.
