An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount (c. 1000-c. 1100). Williams Class A, Type 12 (closed). The mount is a plate, roughly lozenge-shaped in plan extending into a sub-rectangular base with a projecting flange at the bottom which projects about 90° rearwards from the plate. The flange is sub-rectangular and solid with no piercing. Just above the flange and slightly off centre is the corroded remains of an iron rivet. A complete Medieval copper-alloy annular buckle (c. 1200-c. 1400). The frame is circular in plan, 'D'-shaped in cross-section and flat on the inner face. The crudley formed pin has been made from a single piece of copper-alloy, rectangular in cross-section and tapered at both ends. It has been bent through 180° to form a loop and then the shaft has been twisted. The frame is very worn and drab green.
