A post-Medieval cast Copper-alloy strap fitting for a sword belt (c. AD1600-1700). The main body of the fitting is a sub circular form which is convex at the front with five vertical facets and concave at the rear. The lower end of the fitting is squared off with a terminal rib, beyond which there is an integral hook, curving rearwards. Attached to the hook is an asymmetrical cast Copper-alloy trefoil-loop fitting. The trefoil-loop fitting is flat at the rear, the front is decorated with incised grooves dividing the loops. Fragment of a Colchester variant, Roman copper alloy T-shape brooch, c 1st Century AD. The item consists of the lower bow, foot and catch plate. It measures 27.71mm long, 4.61mm wide, the catch plate is 13.28mm long, it is 9.87mm thick and it weighs 2.55g. The bow has a vertical rib on the front face. The remainder of the fragment is in good condition with a light green-brown patina and powdery finish in places. For similar examples from the parish see: PUBLIC-0CF975, PUBLIC-7498EE.

Medieval copper alloy buckle, pin missing: oval frame with an offset, narrowed bar protruding slightly at the sides and a rounded outside edge; rectangular plate with a pin slot, frame recesses, engraved contour line and a median row of three rivets. The integral plate tapers from two lateral swellings and a pin hole at the junction with the frame past a rivet hole to an old break. Width of frame 14.4mm. Extant length 34mm. Distorted fragment, both ends broken, of a medieval copper alloy annular framed brooch, D-sectioned, expanding around one perforation and with one circular collet containing white fixative. On the inner face below the collet an integral loop contains the loop of a wire pin. The diameter is uncertain becuase of the distortion, but about one quarter is probably extant. Width and thickness 2.8 and 1.6mm. Thickness or height at the collet 6.2mm. 13th - 14th century.

An incomplete possibly roman cast copper- alloy harness pendant. The pendant is crescentic with two downward arched curving arms from, creating a slightly pointing body between the two arms directly aligned to the apex suspension loop. The neck has a bead and reel moulding, in that the central portion is slightly globular, with a moulded collar above and below. Above the top moulding is the suspension loop. A copper alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period, (400-1066). The head of the pin is globular. The shaft is circular in cross-section and terminates with an ancient break. At the junction between the head and the shaft is a circumferential collar. The head of the pin is undecorated and the object has a dark green patina. Dimensions: 34mm in length, 7mm in width (of head), 2.8g. Pins of this type are typically dated to the mid-late Anglo-Saxon period, c.700-820AD.

At the top of the hanger is an integral transverse loop for attachment which has been twisted. On each face of the object there is no remaining decoration. Incomplete medieval copper alloy key dating to the period c. AD 1100 - 1400. It exhibits a trapezoidal bow with oval aperture and shoulders at the junction with the hollow shank. There is a hole 22.2mm long in the side of the shank, likely caused by post-depositional damage. The bit is on the same plane as the bow and projects from the end of the shank at a right angle. File marks cover much of the object.

A copper alloy belt mount or strap slide of post-medieval date. The object is symmetrical with a rectangular central panel and tapering rounded ends with a decorative knop. Projecting from each side of the rectangular central section is a rearward facing integral tab. These may have joined forming a strap slide when complete. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1350 - 1450. The buckle has a single looped oval frame with a projecting lip to the outer edge. From the opposite side of the loop an integral forked spacer extends, each arm flanking a narrowed pin bar. Both arms terminate in worn breaks. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The buckle is 23.2mm long, 14.8mm wide, 2.9mm thick and weighs 1.8g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.37, no.216 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1450.

A lead alloy probable token of medieval to post-medieval date. The object is circular in plan and flat with a slightly raised circumferential rim. The centre of the object is decorated with a moulded H with a pellet joining each line of the letter. Above and below the horizontal line/bar of the H is another pellet. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval single loop rectangular buckle with sheet roller, dating to period AD 1250-1450. The buckle is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing. On either end of the thicker part of the frame there are two transverse linear grooves, one either side.A sheet roller survives.The pin bar is narrowed and recessed. The buckle weighs 1.37 g and measures 11.39 mm in length and 14.36 mm in width. The thickness of frame measures 3.45 mm.
