An incomplete, worn and hollow Roman copper-alloy object in the form of an eagle's head. Similar objects have been described as cart fittings although other interpretations are also possible. The eagle's head has cast feathers further delineated by engraved herring-bone lines and there are brow ridges above small eyes. The eagle has an open beak and is holding a small round object with an aperture behind. See also HAMP-E88954; CAM-36A6B7; SOMDOR-1DB306 and BUC-112A77.

A Modern bone handle from a toothbrush bearing the stamped legend HARRY SHACKLETON ABERGAVENNY. Shackleton was a pharmacist, operating c.1873 to c.1920. The handle is flat in curves in plan. The tip of the brush end is missing although some of the attachment grooves remain present.

A Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy sub-circular lid, probably from an ink pot. The lid has a raised floral decoration in the centre - five petals meeting at a raised stub in the centre. Five raised pellets sit between each of the petals. The edge is decorated with five sets of pairs of spirals. The border is decorated with vertical incised lines and the remaining surface area is decorated with incised dots. The reverse is plain and concave at the centre. A U-shaped protusion juts out at the top of the lid. This is the hinge that would have attached it to the body of the pot/container. …

Incomplete medieval copper alloy spur buckle comprising an oval frame with pronounced lateral projections at the junction with the plate on which there is a pin hole, chamfered convex sides and an integral rivet and extensive solder on the reverse. The recent break cuts across the plate close to this rivet. Frame width 22.5mm. Extant length 29.3mm. Second half 14th - first half 15th century.
