A complete post medieval cast copper alloy pedestal/pendant seal matrix dating AD 1600-1700. The face of the die appears lead alloy and is oval in shape. It is15.9mm long and 13.8mm wide. It has an incised design of the initials G M separated by scrollwork, all within a beaded border. It has a conical handle 14.8 mm wide with an oval cross-section, which extends upwards from the back of the die, and tapers before flaring out again at the junction with a flat trefoil-shaped terminal. Roman bow brooch. It appears to be a Dolphin type with hinged pin although both the spring and pin are missing. The foot of the bow and catch plate are missing. The bow is circular in cross section but slightly flattened on the underside near the wings. Each wing has 2 parallel grooves around it near the outer end. Each wing is in the form of a tube with an oval outer cross section. Incomplete medieval two-piece elongated tongue-shaped strap end. One piece survives only as the rounded knop with trefoil terminal where it is secured to the second piece by a rivet.
