A copper alloy leg and foot from a cauldron or posnet, of probable medieval date. The leg is roughly trapezoidal in form and d-shaped in cross-section. There is an irregular break at the top end. The foot end is undamaged, and when standing it slopes inward from the foot to the top at an angle of around 10 degrees. There is a rounded raised transverse band extending 10mm down from the top, below which are five fluted longitudinal ribs which broaden as they go down the outer face. A flint scraper of probable Mesolithic date, circa 9000 - 3450. The flint has no cortex remaining and is therefore a tertiary flake. The flake is sub-ovate in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface is invasively flaked. The ventral suface is smooth with a distinct striking platform and low bulb of percussion. There is semi-invasive, scaled, semi-abrupt flaking to the left distil. There is a point to the lower right distal which appears to have been worked.
