Roman prick spur, composed of a fragment of copper-alloy heel and a copper-alloy and iron goad. The heel fragment is an elongated lozenge-shaped bar, flaring to the centre, which is concave on the interior and convex on the exterior. Each end is incomplete and abraded and the sides are largely missing. The heel is trapezoidal in cross-section, with the narrowest edge being on the outer face. Post Medieval (mid 16th to 17th centuries) toy table ware vessel: The cast lead alloy toy is sqhashed flat and consists of a small circular base with a short stem protruding which connects to the vessel which expands in width towards the rim. On one edge there is an incomplete handle so the vessel may be a miniature goblet or tankard. The surface has a matte grey patina. It measures 23.14mm tall, 29.23mm wide, and weighs 4.56g. Roman Polden Hill type brooch (AD c. 80-120): The copper alloy brooch has wings which are semi-cylindrical, and terminate with incomplete perforated wing caps. The axis bar, spring and pin is missing. The wings are undecorated. At the centre of the upper edge of the wings there is an integral hook. The bowhead is hump-like in profile and is decorated with two vertical grooves with the central ridge having transverse notches. A complete medieval annular brooch of miniature size in the form of a ring, made from a single strip of silver. Curved projections at the top of the pin give it the appearance of a miniature sword. The pin is square in section, and each facet is incised with wavering zig-zag lines. The curved projections have punched decoration. Iron corrosion adheres to the top of the pin. Several other examples of brooches with sword-shaped pins have been found, including TAR 2005/6 No 332 (2006 T429), YORYM - 96C42D, LVPL - 3F8372 and NMS 8BB61E. Fragment of a medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle, part of one edge and one side of what was probably a double-looped frame. The front face of edge and side are engraved with a row of saltires with one line of the saltire at the corner being wider and deeper than the rest. The cross-section of the edge is flattened and pointed oval, 6.8 x 1.5mm. That of the side is rectangular, 6.2 x 1.7mm. Extant length and width 18.6 and 39.5mm. Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle consisting of part of a cast, apparently annular frame, the decayed loop of an iron pin and a rectangular sheet plate with a pin hole. The frame is of triangular cross-section and c.45mm in diameter, with c.25% extant. The attachment edge of the plate is scalloped and with a grooved round aperture (cf. Egan and Pritchard 1991, no. 653, a strap end). There are four rivets, two near the edge and two below a pair of trefoil-headed apertures. Fragment of copper alloy buckle plate. The complete plate would be bent back on itself around the buckle frame but the folded half is missing at the point of return. The plate narrows over its length in a two stage curve stepping down in width at the approximate half-way point. The end of the plate is curved half-round. There is a central circular hole close to the end of the plate with two evenly spaced tranverse circular holes close to the buckle frame end. A Post Medieval silver ferrule or mount, probably from a Picque cane. The sheet silver mount is now distorted but may have been a tapering cylinder. Each end is petalled with six rounded lobes. The decoration comprises narrow punched lines made of zig zags and punched bands of short lines which form Vs. A triangle appears on each petal, the latter each infilled with a single dot. Dimensions: Length 27.54mm; Weight 3.55g.

A fragment of a flat medieval annular copper-alloy brooch which is broken across the narrow pin constriction. The brooch has an inscription which begins with a cross pattee and incorporates a Lombardic letter 'M'. The spaces between the letters are infilled with zig zags. The legend reads + AVE MA[RIA GRACIA PLENA] // [...]V DEORVM. The brooch measures 76mm in diameter.
