Roman coin: denarius of Septimus Severus (193-211) probably minted in Laodicea, Turkey between 195 and 202 AD. Victory reverse with the legend finishing COS II PP. RIC Vol. IV Part I, p. 155, No. 471 depicts the obverse and reverse of Victory, but no the legend of the reverse. The reverse matches p. 159, No. 499. Possibly a contemporary copy. The coin may have been struck from silver or copper alloy, the surface has a shiny dark grey-black patina.

An incomplete cast Colchester derivative (double-lugged) type copper-alloy bow brooch dating to the Roman period, c. 43-100 AD. It has a hemi-spherically sectioned and undecorated winged head with two holed lugs projecting from its rear face, through one of which a portion of the spring mechanism still survives. An incomplete cast copper-alloy single-looped buckle and integral plate dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. The buckle is oval in plan, with a triangular plate demonstrating a single in-situ circular sectioned copper-alloy rivet at its midpoint projecting from its rear edge. A small circular aperture cuts across a decorative transverse ridge directly behind the frame, forming the strap-bar and housing for a wound wire pin, part of which still survives. A cut half voided short cross (AD 1180-1247) halfpenny. The obverse shows the lower half of what would have been a forward facing crowned bust with sceptre in hand. Obverse legend reads [hENRIC]VS.R/E[X]. Reverse shows a voided short cross with quatrefoil in the two angles present. Reverse legend reads [ ](R or possibly K)[ .ON].W[ ].
