An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-loop buckle (c. 1270-c. 1350). The pin is missing. This buckle is 'D'-shaped in plan with a curved ornate outer edge consisting of a cusp each side of the bulbous centre where the pin-tip would have rested. The narrowed off-set bar is roughly rectangular in cross-section. The buckle is in poor condition and has traces of a mid-green patina. Length: 16.2mm; width: 28.1mm; thickness at outer edge: 3.6mm. Weight: 2.53g.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester Derivative 'T'-shaped or Dolphin brooch (AD 50-150). Parts of the wings, the foot, including the catch-plate and the pin are missing. This brooch has a hinged mechanism. The wings are cylindrical and breaks at the ends reveal an iron axis bar. A central slot at the rear of the wings is filled with iron corrosion. The bow is bulbous at the head and convex at the front. It is slightly convex at the rear but is almost flat. Where the bow meets the wings, the width of the bow is 8.7mm. It tapers in width and thickness from the break at the top to a blunt point at the bottom. This object is corroded with traces of a green patina and patches of a white metal coating. A Post Medieval complete cast copper alloy rumbler or 'crotal' bell with intact iron pea, c. 1500-1750 AD. The bell is divided into two hemispheres by a prominent ridge which runs around the centre of the bell. The upper hemisphere is undecorated with two large sound holes, positioned opposite each other. The lower hemisphere houses the large sound slit which has some damage at one end and is also undecorated like the upper hemisphere. A fragment of an unidentified object, probably of 16th or 17th century date. A rectangular tab decorated with incised straight lines is partly hollow on its lower face. From one edge of this projects sideways a short length of round section bar which curves and ends in a rounded and thickened terminal. From the opposite side of the tab projects at right angles an incomplete length of square section bar. This may be some form of strap fitting but no parallels have been found.
