A copper alloy medieval strap end. The strap end consists of a central fitting which terminates in a knop depicting an acorn. Above the acorn the strap end is perforated, the rivet survives and fixes the central fitting to the attachment plates. Both plates are broadly rectangular with a further perforation at the tip which would have attached the strap end to the strap. The strap end measures 14.93 mm in length, 4.56 in width, and is 1.44m thick. It weighs 1.93 grams.
