Post-medieval cast copper alloy coin weight marked 6s 9d, for weighing the Portuguese 1000 reis (quarter moidore) and 'joe' gold coins, 1760-1773. There are similar markings on both obverse and reverse, comprising a decorative leaf circle (now almost worn away), within which is an inscription on three lines. It reads: S D / 6 : 9 / [? .?]. The initials are upright serifed Roman capitals. The stops in the middle line are actually small trefoils, whereas the stop in the lowest line is a central dot.
