Incomplete post medieval copper alloy pastry jigger. The extant working end consists of a 'T'-shaped head that would have been used for cutting and impressing the pastry. The underside of the bar is scalloped either side of a central stem. The tool end has deep oblique grooves made alternately from either face creating a zig-zag profile when viewed end-on. Beyond the head the section narrows and changes to an oval shaped stem which further extends into a bulbous sub-rectangular broken knob. A copper alloy contemporary copy of a nummus of Constantius II (AD 337-61), dating to c. AD 353-61 (Reece Period 18), [FEL TEMP REPARATIO], soldier spearing fallen horseman type. The coin is poorly conceived and struck which is perhaps indicative of how low the workmanship had become by the final years of Fallen Horseman production. The coin is in very poor condition with chipping to the perimeter and encrusted with what looks like ferrous deposit.
