A Roman silver coin; a denarius probably of Vespasian (AD 69 - 79) dating from AD 71-73 (Reece period 4). AVGVR TRI POT reverse depicting priestly implements, minted in Rome. Compare for example, FASAM-5B929C which cites RIC II (2nd ed), p. 62, nos. 42-3 though this coin cannot be positively identified to a single RIC number. The coin is 16.1mm diameter, 2.2mm thick and 1.68g. There is a chip missing from the edge and the obverse legend is illegible.

The weight has a incompete, integrally cast loop which appears to have broken in antiquity. It has a height of 23.37 mm; with a diameter at the base of 14.46 mm, and weighs 19 grams. Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.a-4.b, 4c. It is 38.6mm long, 15.8mm wide across the spring case and weighing 5.6 grams. It has plain, hollow, semi-circular cross-sectioned short wings with end caps. A post-medieval copper-alloy double-loop buckle. The buckle is symmetrical, the two trapezoidal sides converging towards the centre, where there is an axis bar of semicircular cross section with a protruding knop at either end. The rest of the frame is of trapezoidal section and has a corroded white metal coating. Length: 24.7mm; width: 20.7mm; thickness: 2.3mm. Weight: 2.7g Ross Whitehead suggests a late 16th to late 17th/early 18th century date for buckles of this form (1996: 82)

A copper-alloy Roman Colchester-derivative with double-perced lug brooch, dating from the mid to late 1st century AD. The wings consist of a horizontally aligned half-cylinder, with two perforated lugs at the centre, for the now-missing axis bar and external chord respectively.
