A silver Long-cross penny of Late Medieval date. The B in the centre of the reverse, shows this penny to have been minted at Durham between 1464 and 1470 (under Bishop Lawrence Booth) during Edward IV's first reign (1461-1470). The coin is worn nearly smooth on the obverse and is clipped North vol 2 1991 Page 89 (1602-03). Weight: 0.5gms Diameter: 14.2mm

A post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of Mathaus Lauffer II (fl. 1612-1634) dated 1618 (on jetton). Rose/orb type inscribed GOTES SEGEN MACHET REICH. Minted at Nuremberg. See Mitchiner (1988, 480) no. 1695. This jetton has a diameter of 20.92mm, a thickness of 0.43mm and a weight of 0.877g. It has some surface corrosion and has a brown and patchy green patina.

The fragment is asymmetrical in shape with a curving profile and terminates in old breaks on all sides. The profile of the sherd suggests that it may derive from a flask, jug or beaker. The fabric is a dark grey/red in colour and has been coated on both surfaces with a glossy metallic purple/red slip. One arm from a pair of nutcrackers dating to the late eighteenth century AD. The surviving arm comprises a lentoidal-section bar which extends to form a hemispherical section curved hook at one end. The hook terminates in a assymetrical, rounded terminal, with a small notch taken out of one edge. The object measures 70mm in length, 8mm in width, 4mm in thickness and weighs 17.5g. A probable medieval cast copper alloy horse harness pendant. The pendant is cross-shaped, broadly equal-armed in plan and semicircular in cross-section, it has a domed front and flattened back. The arms terminate in rounded knops. There is the remains of cross-hatch decoration on these lobes, and some gilding remains on the main body of the pendant. A complete copper alloy toggle of post-medieval date. The toggle consists of a pointed oval body with a circular sectioned shank extending from one side and terminating in a figure of eight loop. The toggle is undecorated. The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The toggle is 25.5mm long, 18.6mm wide, 6.7mm thick and weighs 6g.
