Late Iron Age to early Roman (c. AD 25 to c. 60) Colchester One-Piece brooch: The copper alloy has wings which are formed by a horizontal rectangular bar which are abraded and undecorated. On the reverse of the wings, integral to the upper edge is a rectangular protrusion which is broken, but not recently. A Roman Bow-and-Fantail type brooch (AD c. 75-100): The copper alloy brooch has tubular wings with a central vertical slot on the reverse. The wings hold the copper alloy axis bar, and fitting within the tubular slot is the hinged pin, which is incomplete. Integral to the upper edge of the wings is an incomplete head loop. A Roman Polden Hill type brooch of Mackreth 2011, 4.d, pg. 73, Plate 47, common in the West Midlands (AD c. 80-120): The copper alloy brooch is incomplete. The wings are semi-cylindrical, and terminate with perforated wing caps. The wings are decorated with a notched ridge at each terminal. At the upper edge of the wings and bow head there is a large integral hook which would have held the chord in place. A complete copper alloy single looped oval buckle with two lobed knops and offset bar dating from the medieval period, that is the 12th-14th century.
It consists of a oval frame, with an narrow offset bar, with a recess for the leather strap. The pin is missing. The outer edge of the buckle is decorated. There are two diagonally extending prominent lobed knops, both plain in decorative details. The knops are flanking a recessed central section on the outer edge. This recessed section contains a 'roller' which consists of a piece of grooved sheet metal wrapped around the section.

A copper alloy mount or knop, possibly part of a brooch dating from the Middle or Later Iron Age, that is 600BC-AD43. The object is composed or a moulded copper alloy casing with a circular coral inlay, The casing is dome-shaped with moulded ribs on the outside. There may have possibly been some inside hatching on some of the ribs/bands. The coral, now of light pink/skin colour, is much degraded. Cast copper alloy flat pointed oval or vesica shaped seal matrix dating from the medieval period, that is the 13th/14th century. The seal matrix is worn but image is still visible. It appears to be a pelican, possibly on a nest feeding her young or plucking out her breast feathers. The inscription is difficult to make out but may read 'S'DDP(R?)TEG De GWEDYR. It might possibly be a Welsh inscription reffering to Gwydir in Snowdonia.

Cast lead-alloy weight or seal, slightly dished/domed, probably dating from the post-medieval or modern period, that is the 17th-19th century. The object is heavy and the surfaces are very worn. The obverse seems to show an incribed border ( possibly [...KMM.S.D.R.REI...]) around what looks like a portcullis and the reverse displays, possibly, a large quatrefoil. The writing is illegible.

An unidentified heavy solid cast lead alloy object, perhaps a weight, of unknown date. It is a very dense object which is "D" shaped in plan and triangular in cross-section. The front face is slightly depressed in the centre in a D shape, and the reverse is convex. The material is not a soft type of lead, but is very heavy and hard showing. The object has a very grey patina, and an unidentifiable small raised area within the inner "D", possibly a figure. The reverse is domed evenly across the width with "casting" depression marks all across.

A Roman incomplete copper-alloy trumpet derivative brooch dating to the period c. AD 50 - 150. It exhibits a narrow roughly circular cross-sectioned body that expands centrally into a subtriangular plate and continues in cusps both sides to form a larger subtriangular head.
