A worn lead-alloy post-medieval token or 'medalet' of Elizabeth I, probably dating c. AD 1574. The obverse depicts a double-headed eagle or aquila design with no legend and rimmed by a beaded border; the reverse depicts a crowned rose with 'GOD SAVE THE QVEN' around the outer edge and an E and an R at either side of the rose, has similar border to the obverse except finer possibly mimicking milled coinage. The token is a grey off-white. According to North (1991, 140), it is likely that rather than being used as tokens, these objects were probably used as political medalets or count…

A complete copper alloy thimble likely dating to the Post Medieval period. The thimble is either cast domed or beehive shaped, with horizontal rows of uneven, hand-stamped round indentations, continuing in an arrangement of concentric rings, beginning as a spiral at the top of the thimble. There is a horizontal plain band at the base of the thimble 2.4mm high bordering the opening. The object is flattened slightly at the base probably damaged sustained from being in cultivated land. The thimble is 18.0mm high, 18.28mm in diameter, 0.56mm thick and weighs 3.52g. Very similar to SUS…
