A cast copper alloy asymmetrical buckle frame with a bevelled edge. The frame does not appear distorted but crudely cast. The pin is missing, likely lost to antiquity.
The buckle frame consists of a rectangular loop with raised knops at the corners and a curved loop divided by a strap bar.The frame curves upwards from the centre.The reverse is undecorated. A cast, copper alloy asymmetrical buckle frame with a bevelled edge. The pin is missing, likelylost to antiquity.
The buckle frame consists of a rectangular loop and a curved loop divided by a narrowed strap bar. The rectangular loop has a trefoil outer edge with a lateral incised line. The curved loop has a groove on the outer edge with a moulded triangular pin rest. The reverse is concave and undecorated. An incomplete copper alloy purse bar of unclassified type of medieval to post medieval date (c. AD 1450 - 1550). The purse bar measures 40.75mm in length, 15.18mm maximum width and weighs 25.06g.
The purse bar consists of a globular central boss with a collared arm projecting from one side which terminates in an old break. The collar has a diameter of 8.79mm which narrows to 7.72mm at the point where the arm terminates. An incomplete copper alloy probable spur of post medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1700). The rowel and both of the arms are missing. The fragment consists only of the neck. The neck divides into two lugs, each of which exhibits a circular rivet hole, with a slot between them to house the rowel (now missing). The body is cylindrical but has been bent out of shape. It appears to have been deliberately cut approximately half way along the surviving length, with a portion of the body bent off to one side. The fragment terminates in an old break, which, again, may be deliberate.

Copper alloy strap end, as kindly identified by the finder. A thick (1.4mm) rectangular strip folded in half lengthwise, with its halves attached to each other by five dome-headed copper alloy rivets of head diameter 3.2mm and length c.5mm, all lightly burred on the back. A tiny spot of gilding appears on the display face; between the plates bright green corrosion product may occupy the place of a strap. Suggested date: Medieval, 1270-1400.

Copper alloy button. Cast concavo-convex discoid livery button bearing the crest of a boar's head left. Traces of gilding are retained on the display face. A wire loop is squashed against the back of the button. The heraldic boar appears amongst the subjects of garden statuary at Normanby Hall, a seat of the Lords Sheffield just to the north of Scunthorpe and a few miles south of the find spot, though the motif was widely favoured as a crest. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1775-1850.

A modern gilded chatelaine fitting or hook. The gilded copper alloy fitting has a long spatulate extension which would have been hooked over a belt and which has two rivet holes for attachment. The extension curves forward and expands into a decorative plate infilled with a rose, leaves and scrolls. On the external corners of this plate are two projecting loops from each of which hangs a gold ring and from each the terminal of a gold attachment, apparently comprising twisted gold wire. This is likely to be of later 19th century or early 20th century date.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy object, possibly a pin from a buckle or brooch of uncertain date. It is missing its tip due to old breaks. The attachment end has a flattened oval loop with central circular aperture. This tapers towards the shaft of the pin, where there is a largeflattened triangular projection that extends forwards at an angle of 45 degrees from the pin. An incomplete copper-alloy enamelled brooch fragment likely dating to the Roman period, possibly of 2nd century date. The object consists of a flat uneven disc with concentric bands of decoration; there is an annulet at the centre, then a ring of small raised pellets which is surrounded by ring of raised triangles which extend outwards towards the circumference, creating a sunburst like effect.
