The pointed butt end of a Neolithic stone axe. The cutting end of the axe has snapped off in antiquity, possibly at a point of weakness visible in the break. The surfaces are covered with flake removal scars. The axe is bi-convex in cross-section. It has an off-white patina with some iron staining. The object is 85mm long, 51mm wide and 32mm thick.

A slightly corroded fragment from a late early-medieval/Anglo-Scandinavian cast copper-alloy cheekpiece (c. 11th century AD). The fragment is formed of a curved Ringerike style animal head and neck in profile. The cheekpiece is flat on the reverse, and bevelled around the edges of a flat front. The neck is long and the head is set at roughly right angles to it, but flares out to more like forty-five degrees at the top. In profile the loop is flat. The surface has an abraded and corroded surface with patches of a mid to dark green patina. It measures 27.54mm long, 25.12mm wide and is 2.71mm thick. It weighs 4.13g. A copper-alloy buckle frame dating to the post-medieval period (c. 1550-1650), incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The buckle is double looped, with a sub-oval loop either side of the pin bar. A triangular projection is in the centre of the outer edge of each loop; on the internal side of the outer edge the frame curves in to form a low pointed projection. A complete Medieval to post medieval cast copper alloy double loop buckle, AD.1350-1650. The loops are oval with slightly widened outer edges. The buckle has bevelled sides to the outer frame and strap bar; the frame widens from the front to the back. The pin is still in place and made from a piece of folded copper. The frame measures 32.69 mm in length and 21.63 mm in width and is 2.37 mm thick. It weighs 3.8 grams. Whitehead (2003) illustrates a similar buckle (page 53, No.294) which he dates to c.1350-1650 AD

A Roman cast copper alloy buckle fragment. All that survives is part of a curving frame and part of a separate attachment loop and bar. The attachment bar has a short angled projection outside which is a single decorative small pit. No close parallels for this buckle have been found, although it broadly resembles late Roman buckles of predominately military type.

The brooch is formed from two hollow-sided triangles arranged point to point; at the junction is a central block with transverse grooves. Each triangle has four rows of squares arranged into a triangle. On the back is a broken hinge and catchplate. The pin is missing. The brooch dates from cAD50-100.
