Incomplete and distorted probably medieval sheet copper alloy rectangular mount with the remains of three iron rivets at one narrow edge. The other narrow edge is missing as are parts of the long edges. Most of the surface is decorated with randomly applied repoussé dots. Width 28.5mm. Extant length 43mm. Perhaps 13th - 15th century.

Rim sherd of a medieval or post-medieval cast copper alloy cooking vessel with a repair rivet next to one break. Part of an iron strap is secured by the rivet to the outer surface. The use of iron in copper alloy vessel repairs is not common. The diameter cannot be accurately measured. Length of rivet 9mm (thickness of iron 4mm, of adjacent vessel 2mm). Weight 10.08g. 14th -17th century.

A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy bar mount, possibly from a casket or box (c. 1200-c. 1450). The mount is convex at the front and flat at the rear. It has a short central bar and the terminals at each end are sub-circular with a circular rivet hole. One hole is filled with the corroded remains of an iron rivet. Each terminal has a long pointed knop. Adjacent to one side of the bar there is an integral loop. This mount is corroded and reddish brown with patches of light green corrosion products. A complete Medieval to post-Medieval sheet copper-alloy open thimble or 'sewing ring' (c. 1450-c. 1550). Holmes 1988: 2, fig. 4. This thimble is circular in cross-section and the sides taper inwards from the base towards the top. The outer face has a right-hand spiralling line of four revolutions of punched sub-triangular pits. It spirals in an anti-clockwise direction from the bottom towards the top. A complete post-Medieval cast-lead cap from a wooden powder tube and used for measuring a charge of gunpowder (c. 1600-c. 1700). Courtney 1988: 2, fig. 3). The open and closed ends were oval but are now squashed inwards. It is trapezoidal in side view. The sides flare from the closed end towards the rim. It has a loop at each of the shorter sides. An early-medieval, cast copper-alloy, single-loop buckle. The buckle is D-shaped in plan and rectangular in section with a narrowed strap-bar. The pin is missing. The front face is flat and decorated with four, equally-spaced ring-and-dot motifs, two on either side of a central pin notch. The strap-bar is undecorated. The reverse is undecorated and flat, apart from a casting flaw on one side. Buckles of this type with such decoration can be dated to the late Anglo-Saxon period, AD 900-1100.
