Incomplete copper alloy Medieval annular buckle or possibly brooch pin. The pin is broken across the loop where it would attach to the frame. There are two transverse ridges on the upper surface of the pin adjacent to the loop. The pin has a rectangular cross-section and tapers wedge-like in thickness to a broad point. Similar pins are shown in Egan and Pritchard; Dress Accessories 1150-1450; p115; and date to circa 1300-1500 AD. Dimensions; 48.22mm long, thickness 7.28mm, width 4.28.
