A flint core of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date (c. 10,000 - 2315 BC). The object is a muilt-platform core with at least four platforms. It appears to have been used for the manufacture of blades and flakes. It exhibits a number of negative flake scars. No cortext remails. There is some evidence of platform dressing at one end of the core. The flint is a mottled mid-light grey colour with a large number of inclusions. The core measures 116.6mm long, 56.1mm wide, 36.3mm thick and weighs 430 grams.
