Just over half of a post-medieval double-looped buckle frame, both loops B-shaped, in a grey copper alloy. The form is as larger frames Whitehead 2003, nos. 440-1, with a groove on both sides next to the narrow bar. Estimated length 35mm. Width 23.5mm. c.1600 - c.1720.

A copper-alloy buckle frame dating to the thirteenth or fourteenth century AD. The frame is oval in plan with an offset bar and ornate outer edge and separate sheet roller. It measures 20.4mm in length, 20mm in width and 6mm in thickness and weighs 4.9g. For parallels see examples from London published in Egan and Pritchard (1991, 72-74), particularly No. 298.

Incomplete and distorted front part of a medieval gilt sheet copper alloy trapezoidal buckle plate broken at the fold, with a pin slot, frame recesses, four rivet holes, three with cylindrical headed rivets and, following both sides and both edges, lines of finely executed interrupted rocker-arm engraving giving the appearance of tiny addorsed triangles. Length 34.5mm. Width at the fold 15mm, at the inside edge c.11mm. 13th - 14th century.

Medieval rectangular buckle plate of gilt, thick copper alloy sheet with most of the round-section bar of the frame within the fold, with a pin slot and frame recesses. There are three convex-headed rivets in a transverse row surrounded by an engraved rectangle which lies within a pair of die-stamped concentric rectangular grooves, the largest of which covers the complete front face, and each of which is entirely filled with densely packed oblique grooves. Incomplete medieval tin-coated copper alloy spur buckle, with the pin and the inside edge of the integral plate missing. The frame is almost circular. The plate is of trapezoidal cross-section, i.e. it is thick, wider at the rear and with chamfered sides. Transverse ribs on the sides flank the pin hole. From here the plate tapers past an off-centre rivet hole to a transverse rib beyond which is a slight swelling and then another rib next to the break. Extant length 31mm. Width of frame 14.5mm. Width of plate 9 - 7mm. Thickness 2.3mm. 13th - 14th century.

Iron rod encased in a tube of copper alloy sheet with a butt joint and a deeply engraved zig-zag line. Probably a roller from the inside edge of a medieval composite buckle, cf. NMS-447206 and NMS-C75B57. Similar examples from London have been dated to the 15th century (Fingerlin 1971, Abb. 324-5, Kat. Nr. 229 and 192). Length (or width if part of a buckle) 24.5mm. Diameter 4mm.
