An incomplete cowhide leather shoe with iron hobnails and some associated goatskin fragments dating to the late second or early third century AD. The shoe was designed to be worn on the right foot. The shoe is swayed with a rounded toe and pronounced outer side of the tread at the ball of the foot. The waist and seat are narrow, tapering evenly to the back of the shoe. A gold jewellery element in the form of a flower dating to the Roman period. The element is fashioned from a sheet of gold which is convex in section. The sheet has been cut to form a flower shape, with the six individual petals created using a repousse technique, giving the flower a three-dimensional appearance. On the underside of the element, there is a rectangular-section strip of gold which has been bent to form a loop. The element has a width of 8mm and is 2mm in thickness. It weighs 0.36 grams.

An incomplete tinned copper-alloy spoon dating from the second half of the first century to the second century AD. The bowl is circular in plan and concave in section. It is slightly dented. The handle extends from the underside of the bowl and is stepped. The handle is rectangular in section and broken. A cast, copper-alloy lid from a sheet bronze jug, dating to the late second or third century AD. The lid is approximately 'D' shaped, with a rounded outer edge. The upper surface of the lid is plain. The straighter side is angled upwards in profile to fit against with the vessel's rim. A gold necklace clasp dating to the Roman period. The clasp comprises a circular-section tapering piece of gold wire which has been bent back on itself to form a hook. At the other end, the wire has been bent to form a circular loop and secured in place by wrapping the wire around itself four times. A gold earring dating to the Roman period. The earring comprises a body which is circular in plan and lentoidal section. The body is formed from gold sheet and appears to be hollow. It has therefore become crushed and somewhat distorted. From the underside of the earring, there extends a circular-section wire which tapers to a point at one end. A complete cast lead Medieval or Post Medieval uniface circular token. The token is decorated with a five petalled flower with a pellet in the center. The reverse is blank. The token is 12.89 mm in diameter, 2.36 mm thick and weighs 2.3 grams. Tokens with simple designs are easy to make and continued in use for a long period; therefore a general date of c. (1250-1800 AD) is suggested.

A fragment of a copper-alloy florid cruciform brooch dating to the sixth century AD. The fragment measures 50mm in length, and a maximum of 28mm wide and 3mm thick. Helen Geake comments: 'There is a parallel from Driffield in Martin 2015, pl. 29.1. It belongs to type 4.3.2 which appears to be a north eastern type. but as far as I can see the fragment of foot seems a bit bigger than the other fragment. A second fragment from Piercebridge may represent part of the same brooch (BM-484402) although it appears to originate from a slightly smaller example.'
