An incomplete struck / hammered copper alloy Jetton, of uncertain issuer, but probably of Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1500). The jetton is circular in plan and heavily worn. The obverse is unclear, with a shield design bearing at least three complete fleur de lys. The reverse probably has straight double stranded cross fleuretty, within an arched tressure. Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with an offset, narrowed bar and a straight outside edge with a pair of knops flanking a constriction and a sheet roller. At its centre the bar has been worn and distorted by the missing pin. The roller is in a paler green surfaced alloy with, by normal standards, quite elaborate decoration: between a raised rib on both sides a row of engraved chevrons and a median groove. In the same broad category as Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 288, 298, 301 and 317. Length and width 23.2 and 25.3mm. 14th century.
