An incomplete Medieval cast copper-alloy forked spacer for a composite strap-end (c. 1350-c. 1400).
It has a plain acorn knop with a collar dividing the acorn element from the two prongs. The incomplete prongs are flat and rectangular in cross-section and have a thickness of 1.2mm. There are faint 'file' marks on the prongs which are barely visible.
This spacer is drab brown with patches of a lighter brown patina. There is light green and off-white corrosion on the prongs. The breaks are old.
Height: 28.1mm; width: 8.9mm; thickness: 3.2mm. Weight: 1.11g.

An incomplete copper-alloy folding strap-clasp, dating from the Medieval period.
Only the inner end of the frame remains, including the axis bar, around which the plate has been folded. The sub-rectangular upper plate has an openwork element in the form of two gothic 'windows', orientated longitudinally, side-by-side, each with a central strand of moulded tracery. Medieval gilt copper alloy strap fitting, a bar-mount with a rivet hole in both terminal lobes (one with a rivet) and a large round aperture in a central lobe. The object is squatter than standard mounts of this type (e.g. Egan and Pritchard 1991, nos. 1154 and 1157-8), and the presence of gilding is exceptional. 14 x 27.5mm. 13th - 14th century.

A complete copper alloy mount of medieval date. The mount is cinquefoil in plan with five integral domed, sub-triangular panels, two of which bear rivet holes for attachment. The mount is otherwise undecorated.
The metal has a shiny greyish-green patina and is worn. The mount is 20.7mm in diameter, 3mm thick and weighs 3.1g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Egan & Pritchard (2002), p.189, fig.119 and are dated to circa AD 1150 - 1450.

A copper-alloy object, probably representing a Late Iron Age to Early Roman cosmetic mortar.
The object appears to take the form of a sea creature, with downward curving neck, stylised, tapering, head and downward curving, trilobate tail. Overall, the object has an elongated-S-shaped form, the width gradually decreasing towards the tail. A deep groove occupies much of the back. On the underside of the body is a right-angled fin.

A complete copper alloy shoe or clog clasp of late post-medieval date. The clasp is sub-rectangular in plan with curvilinear sides and rounded edges. An integral curved hook with pelta shaped terminal projects from one end while a smaller sub-rectangular hook extends from the opposite end. The upper surface of the clasp bears faint traces of decoration though its exact nature cannot be determined due to the degree of wear present.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The clasp is 21.4mm long, 13.4mm wide, 0.8mm thick and weighs 1.5g.

A fragment of a cast copper-alloy socketed axe of Late Bronze Age date. Only the blade edge and part of the head survives intact, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The blade edge narrows to a flat tip, still relatively sharp, and is curved in form with expanded sides that narrow into the main head of the axe. In cross section the axe head is rectangular in plan and is hollow, showing the beginnings (or end) of a socket. A fragment of a cast copper alloy openwork stirrup-strap mount belonging to Williams' Class B, Type 3, Group 4. What survives is the single facing zoomorphic mask and one of the two original upper fixing loops. The mask originally had a pair of large pierced ears one of which survives.

A body sherd of a possibly Iron Age ceramic vessel dating to the period c. 800 BC - 43 AD. The fabric is porous with frequent poorly sorted quartz inclusions. Grey flint with cortex scraper. Oval flake with a dished dorsal side and a low bulb on the ventral. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows the long curving edge, with the natulal hollow and the cortex within it affording a thumb rest. A hinge fracture and other exposures along the side opposite the retouch is probably adventitious recent damage. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC.
