A copper-alloy anthropomorphic mount probably of Medieval date, AD c. 1200-c. 1450. See PAS record IOW-51C294, CAM-0844F1 & WILT-43A071. This mount, in the form of a human head with trefoil hair or headdress, was probably cast and then details emphasised by incised grooves. Initial observations suggest the artefact is symmetrical however closer study reveals that while an attempt to suggest symmetry may have been the craftsman's intent this was not applied with any level of precision. Incomplete Late Saxon copper alloy tongue-shaped openwork strap end, both the outside and attachment edges missing (ancient breaks). A somewhat abstract figure is depicted against seven apertures (only two of which are now complete) and details of its wing-like arms are picked out in engraving. Thomas 2004, Class E, Type 2, very similar to fig. 4 no. 27. Extant length 30.7mm. Width 23.4mm. 10th - 11th century.

Incomplete post-medieval sheet copper alloy book clasp, part of the expanded terminal and all of the distal, probably hooked, end missing. There are two rivet holes near the terminal and next to a transverse row of three punched annulets. There is no other decoration. Extant length 50mm. Width 13.7mm (estimated width of terminal 28mm). Late 15th or 16th century.

A copper alloy Post Medieval candlestick dating from the 16th century. Only the socket and stem survive, the separate base being absent. The socket is slightly flared, wider at the top, and is 23.1mm diameter, 19.85mm internal diameter. It has two slots or rectangular openings in the sides, and the rim is missing. The surviving depth of the socket is 15.2mm deep. The stem is 11mm diameter and 54mm long. It has a projecting flange in the middle (17mm diameter) and another at the base. A copper-alloy bell of probable medieval to post-Medieval date. The chamber is sub-conical, having slightly cocave sides, a change of slope near the top, and flaring outwards to form a flat rim at the base. The rounded apex loop displays signs of wear, and there is a circular depression at the top of the inside of the chamber, which is probably a point of attachment for the now-missing clapper.

A copper-alloy strap-end, dating from the Early-Medieval to Medieval periods. The body of the strap end is sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards the base, where there is a terminal in the form of a heavily stylised zoomorphic mask. The widest part is the upper end, where the body splits into two parallel plates, with a central gap for the now-missing strap.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, circular with a hexagonally faceted handle with an elaborate collared terminal in which there are six round apertures. A shield, surrounded by three sprigs, bears a heraldic device: A crescent between two mullets of six points in chief and one in base The legend reads MAERGRIETE WOVTREIS and is followed by a sprig filler. The name is probably Flemish. Diameter 21.5mm. Height 33.6mm. 13th - 14th century.
