An incomplete cast copper-alloy wide equal-armed brooch of Early-Medieval/Anglo-Saxon date. Three quarters of one arm and most of the bow survive, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The surviving arm is trapezoidal in form, rectangular in section with slightly faceted back face, and missing one end due to old breaks. An incomplete copper alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date. The head of the brooch is ovate with a concave reverse which houses an axis bar around which the pin mechanism is looped. The mechanism is extremely worn and indistinct. The centre of the front of the head tapers to form the circular sectioned bow which continues to a worn pointed break. A circumferential acanthus decoration flanked by double banded collars is present mid-way along the bow which appears otherwise undecorated. The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. An incomplete copper alloy headstud brooch of Roman date. The head of the brooch is comprised of rectangular wings from the reverse of which the remains of a double lug hinge mechanism projects. Copper alloy sprung dolphin brooch that has the remains of a rearwards facing hook at the top of the head that would have held the spring. Semi-circular wings project either side of the head, the forward of which are decorated with a recessed vertical band. The front of the brooch is decorated with two wavy lines flanked by a recessed border that ring down the length of the bow. The catch plate on the reverse is open. Date 43-65AD

Incomplete Early Saxon copper alloy bow brooch, probably a Small-long, the headplate and the lower part of the footplate missing, with ancient breaks. A rectangular panel with a transverse groove forms facets at the top and the base of the very short, D-sectioned bow. Rectangular lappets (one incomplete) mark the start of the footplate. The half-round moulding comprises three low transverse ribs. The flap of the catchplate is missing. Extant length 39.5mm. Weight 10.50g. c.500 - c.530.

The upper part of a Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch of T-shaped type (similar to Hattatt no.387). The brooch has a hinged pin held within a tapering cylindrical housing. The side wings have a transverse notch at each end. There is an integral loop on the head of the brooch. The upper bow has a rectangular panel with lozenges and triangles; there is no sign of any enamel, though this may have been present. The back of the bow is hollow.

A copper alloy two-dimensional brooch in the form of a bird, either a cockerel or a bird of prey. It is either Early Medieval in date, about AD 1000 - 1100, or Medieval, perhaps c. 1350-1500. An incomplete Roman copper alloy umbonate brooch. It is flat, circular, and decorated with two bands of triangular cells surrounding a central pellet-in-ring. The bands alternate between recessed enamelled cells and cells of reserve metal. All enamel is lost. A narrow fragment of an additional band was found with it, though it is unclear whether this formed a third band, or whether it is a fragment of a second brooch. The fittings on the reverse are missing.
