An incomplete Post Medieval lead cloth seal, probably dating to the 18th century. The item is one of two discs which would have been joined together by a connecting tab. The disc is circular in plan; the front face bears a triple rose with a crown above and the back face is plain. See LON-5E1AD2 for a similar example. Lead seals were put on lengths of cloth to demonstrate that they had been quality checked and that they were the correct length and weight. The coin was broken roughly in half at time of discovery though broke in half again subsequently. It has been sellotaped together by the finder and cannot be removed safely due to its fragility.
