A copper-alloy pin with a glass head dating to the Roman period. The shaft of the pin is circular in section and both flattens and tapers at one end to form a point. At the other end, it also flattens and widens to a lozengiform area to accommodate a circular perforation. Beyond the perforation, the pin then tapers again to a point. A copper-alloy strainer or skimmer of Roman to post-medieval date. The strainer is incomplete but comprises a flat, semi-circular sheet of copper-alloy which has been perforated repeatedly with rows of irregular oval piercings. The sheet measures 49mm in length and 37mm in width. It's shape may suggest that it was intended to act as a strainer for the spout of a jug. An incomplete bone needle probably dating to the Roman period. The needle possesses a faceted, but roughly circular-section stem. One of the facets (comprising the left-hand-side of the pin) has a series of at least nine diagonal notches along the length of its face. Acopper-alloy single-loop buckle from the Medieval period. The buckle is broadly 'D'shaped, has an offset axis bar (broken) with a lobe at either end and an attached sheet copper-alloy pin.The sides are curved outwards with the front decorated with three knops, with the centre knop being the largest. An incomplete copper-alloy trilobe bar mount (strap-fitting) from the medieval period, c.1350-1400. One of the smaller side lobes is missing which has broken in antiquity at the rivet hole. The remaining lobes are convex on the front and concave on the reverse. The central lobe has a centrally placed circular aperture, recessed on the front, within a band of cross hatching.
