A medieval silver voided short cross (AD 1180-1247) cut halfpenny of Henry II (AD 1154-1189). Class 1c, North number 964.
Obverse is mostly illegible with what is probably the pelleted top of the crown just visible. Obverse legend reads [h]ENRIC[VS ....]. Reverse shows a voided short cross. Initial mark is a cross pattee. Reverse possibly reads GEF[REI ...]ND. The moneyer is Gefrei and the mint is London. Die axis is 11 or 12 o'clock. Weight is 0.66g, diameter is 20.7mm, thickness is 0.5mm.
