A lead throwing die of unknown date. The die is cuboid in shape, with six sides. The holes have been drilled and the sides have not been organised in the standard 'seven' system, where the total of the holes on opposing sides add up to seven. 1 is opposite 3, 2 is opposite 4, 5 is opposite 6.
The die is dark brownish white in colour. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.
Dice are frequently found and can be of any date from the Roman period through to the Post Medieval period (AD 43 to AD 1700).…

An incomplete and worn lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the part of the front disc and rivet and the back disc due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat. The front face is decorated with the letter C to the left of a building, perhaps a town hall. On the back face are the remains of an integral rivet with a flattened oval face that would have been pushed through the second, now missing disc.
This cloth seal measures 17.91mm in diameter, 2.08mm in thickness, 3.19g in weight.

An incomplete lead privy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the connecting strip due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat and circular in form. One face is decorated with the ligated letters A R?. The other face is undecorated.
This cloth seal measures 12.43mm in diameter, 3.55mm in thickness, 2.58g in weight.
There are similar examples of privy cloth seals recorded by Egan (Egan, 1995, p.181-182).

An incomplete cast lead four part cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. Only one disc survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat and circular in form. The front face is decorated with a crown with the value 1 ½ beneath. This value indicates the tax rate in pence. The back face is undecorated.
This cloth seal measures 13.65mm in diameter, 1.15mm in thickness, 1.08g in weight.
There is a similar example recorded by Egan (Egan, 1995, p.179, no. 184) and recorded on the PAS database (SF4628), (SF4627).

It is flat. The front face is decorated with a fleur de lis. On the back face is an integral rivet with a flattened oval face that would have been pushed through the second, now missing disc.
This cloth seal measures14.87mm in diameter, 3.96mm in thickness, 3.32g in weight.
There are similar examples recorded by Egan (Egan, 1995, nos. 52, 108, 124-125 and 165) and recorded on the PAS database (SF-10DF74), (SF-AF8053), (SF-DC9F34).
