An incomplete lead alloy probable toy cannon of late Post-Medieval dating (circa AD 1700 to circa AD 1800). The model is comprised of a circular barrel, or cascable, which tapers in diameter from the bulbous knop, or cascable button, at one end to the muzzle at the other (which is now missing, presumed lost in antiquity). It is sub oval in plan, and sub rectangular in cross section. Originally it would have been circular or oval in plan (as viewed from above), now it appears the two walls have been squeezed or pinched together. A complete lead or lead alloy decorated spindle whorl, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1450). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and D shaped in section. The whorl is decorated on the front (top side) with incised lines that could resemble letters, although artefact is very worn and inscription, if there, is difficult to decipher.
