12 sherds of Roman coarseware. Largely reduced dark grey to black fabric with abundant rounded quartz sand temper. Many of the surfaces are burnished. Black Burnished ware fabric1a (Poole/Wareham). An incomplete cast copper alloy purse bar of Medieval date (c. AD 1450 - c. AD 1500). The central block is shield shaped with a central longitudinal circular aperture (diameter 5.56 mm).
