An incomplete cast copper alloy purse bar of Medieval date (c. AD 1450 - c. AD 1500). The central block is shield shaped with a central longitudinal circular aperture (diameter 5.56 mm). The loop at the top is oval in shape and 'D'-sectioned with a flat inner side. The side-bars are gripped by animal' heads at their junction with the central block.
