Late medieval or early post-medieval copper alloy book-clasp, of Howsam type A.3, probably of 15th to 17th century date. The clasp is near-complete, with some peripheral loss (with a length of 67.9mm, a depth of 5.3mm and a weight of 15.8g). The clasp is made from two-pieces of sheet copper alloy, attached using three rivets. One larger rivet at the centre, towards the clasp and two smaller rivets at the attachment end.
